Introducing . . . (Are you curious yet?!)

Love Buds Crochet on consignment

(and in the good company of our friend Carla's amazing cards, no less!)

So, on my facebook page the other day, I promised you the story for this picture.  Well, it started out with a request from our friend Amber, who works at a coffee shop.  She asked for a couple of coffee cozies with mustaches on them for their Movember display, which I was only too happy to oblige. J I had never made a coffee cozy before, but it seemed like a fun challenge, so I tried it, and I was pretty happy with the results.  When I took them into the shop to see what Amber thought, we found the owner there as well.  They liked the coffee cozies so much that they wondered if I would consider doing consignment for their shop!  I thought it would be cool, so after some consideration, I decided to try it.

One of the coolest things for me from this whole ordeal was meeting and talking with Jackie, the owner of Plantation Coffee Bar, and receiving a helpful business lesson from her.  I really appreciated the way she talked to me like I was an actual small business owner, and not just a kid.  It was pretty cool.
This opportunity has contributed greatly to my schooling, and I have been learning a lot more about the basics of running a business, financial management, branding, communication, and a lot more!  It is a bit overwhelming for me when I look at the list my mom has made of all the things I’m learning, but thankfully, she is having mercy on me and teaching me just a bit at a time.  :-)  And my dad was very helpful with figuring out how to print some things, and has been very supportive throughout the beginning of this new adventure.

Since everyone was so confident that the coffee cozies were going to sell, I made four more cozies and a display, and when I brought them to the shop I found out that the first two cozies had sold already!  I’m excited about trying something new, and can barely wait to see how this adventure will turn out!

New-found cuteness!

I've been absent, but not idle!  Here are some of my latest creations.

  Cowboy Hat and Boots

I made these as an experimental baby gift, and decided that they were so cute, I would be willing to make some more! I am able to do sizes 0-3mo., 3-6mo., 6-12mo., 12-24mo., and 2T-4T. This pair in particular are not for sale. Below are the cowboy hat and boots on my doll.  (My mom says to mention that I also designed and freehanded her clothing on my own.)  As you can see, the hat and boots are really cute! Price may depend on the size you wish them to be, and you can choose color, as well.

 The Twins

I made these cuties as a request from some of our friends who have adorable twin girls, and wanted twin dolls for their playmates! The dolls were so cute that I wanted to show them to you, in case you might like some too. These dolls are going to a pair of special girls from Africa, where they will be loved and cared for. We love you, J and A!

Lizzie the Loveable

Here is another original LoveBud, child safe and one-of-a-kind. Lizzie comes with her own purse, streaked hair, and a unique dress. She can't wait to meet her new family, and will be happy with whatever name is given her!

I promise not to take so long to post again, and in fact I already have two more posts in mind, so be watching for more updates soon!
