Love Buds Elves

These were inspired by a friend of ours who wanted to start a new Christmas tradition based on the Kindness Elves, instead of the mischievous Elf on the Shelf.  Here is my take on them!

I love these because of their versatility.  Ranging from a cute addition to your Christmas tree all the way to a fun stocking stuffer, these elves are adorable no matter what you do with them.  They are roughly 10" tall, including their hats.  Because of the time it takes to made a Love Buds creation, these should be priced higher, but because of these elves' kind-hearted virtues I will make you a deal for a limited time and sell these special, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind elves for $20 each, or $39.99 for two!  In other words, buy one get one $0.01 off!! :-) You can choose between a boy or a girl no matter how many you want!

I wanted them to be baby- and child-safe, so there are no choking hazards, magnets, or wires on or in my elves - but I made their feet to hook onto each other (and other things), so they can be positioned in fun ways around the house.  I'm going to have to make some for my own, since it's just too fun to find them hanging out (often upside down) all over the house!  My executive assistant (a.k.a. my mom) even found one hanging from the onion basket. . .  :-)
If you wish to make an order, you can post a comment on my facebook page (or message my assistant) and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  Thanks!

Enjoy the holidays!

Country cuteness and sweet . . . perfumeness??!

(I know perfumeness isn't a word, but I had to find something that sort-of rhymed!)   :-)

Sorry everybody! I know I have been absent for a loooooooong time, and I promise (again) that I won't ever go for that long without updating my blog. And this time for real! (I hope...) :-)

My first item of cuteness is this adorable blue-ribbon-winning "cowbaby" hat and boots set. The head circumference is approximately 15" around, and the boots are 4" long. This cute set is gender-neutral, so your little girl can wear this country outfit as well as her boy cousin. I will give you a Christmas special of $40 for this "cowbaby cuteness" - hat and boots included!

Next up, entered in the sweetness category, I present to you. . . (dun dun dunn!) my one-of-a-kind, my only, it's my. . . (deep breath)

super-sweet set of three crochet bracelets!!

These are perfect for any age, ranging from toddler to teen - I speak from experience! - and they come in colors of your choice! Just $7 for a set of three bracelets. Your special girl will thank you!

And last but not least, also bursting with the cuteness factor, I have a mini doll! Just like her bigger sisters (except in a smaller size), "Angela" is 9" tall and waiting and ready for a loving family. The only choking hazards are the small buttons on the back of her dress. Since we are approaching Thanksgiving, my gift to you today will be a price of $25 for this sweet doll. Hurry before she's gone!

Happy holidays everyone!

Introducing . . . (Are you curious yet?!)

Love Buds Crochet on consignment

(and in the good company of our friend Carla's amazing cards, no less!)

So, on my facebook page the other day, I promised you the story for this picture.  Well, it started out with a request from our friend Amber, who works at a coffee shop.  She asked for a couple of coffee cozies with mustaches on them for their Movember display, which I was only too happy to oblige. J I had never made a coffee cozy before, but it seemed like a fun challenge, so I tried it, and I was pretty happy with the results.  When I took them into the shop to see what Amber thought, we found the owner there as well.  They liked the coffee cozies so much that they wondered if I would consider doing consignment for their shop!  I thought it would be cool, so after some consideration, I decided to try it.

One of the coolest things for me from this whole ordeal was meeting and talking with Jackie, the owner of Plantation Coffee Bar, and receiving a helpful business lesson from her.  I really appreciated the way she talked to me like I was an actual small business owner, and not just a kid.  It was pretty cool.
This opportunity has contributed greatly to my schooling, and I have been learning a lot more about the basics of running a business, financial management, branding, communication, and a lot more!  It is a bit overwhelming for me when I look at the list my mom has made of all the things I’m learning, but thankfully, she is having mercy on me and teaching me just a bit at a time.  :-)  And my dad was very helpful with figuring out how to print some things, and has been very supportive throughout the beginning of this new adventure.

Since everyone was so confident that the coffee cozies were going to sell, I made four more cozies and a display, and when I brought them to the shop I found out that the first two cozies had sold already!  I’m excited about trying something new, and can barely wait to see how this adventure will turn out!

New-found cuteness!

I've been absent, but not idle!  Here are some of my latest creations.

  Cowboy Hat and Boots

I made these as an experimental baby gift, and decided that they were so cute, I would be willing to make some more! I am able to do sizes 0-3mo., 3-6mo., 6-12mo., 12-24mo., and 2T-4T. This pair in particular are not for sale. Below are the cowboy hat and boots on my doll.  (My mom says to mention that I also designed and freehanded her clothing on my own.)  As you can see, the hat and boots are really cute! Price may depend on the size you wish them to be, and you can choose color, as well.

 The Twins

I made these cuties as a request from some of our friends who have adorable twin girls, and wanted twin dolls for their playmates! The dolls were so cute that I wanted to show them to you, in case you might like some too. These dolls are going to a pair of special girls from Africa, where they will be loved and cared for. We love you, J and A!

Lizzie the Loveable

Here is another original LoveBud, child safe and one-of-a-kind. Lizzie comes with her own purse, streaked hair, and a unique dress. She can't wait to meet her new family, and will be happy with whatever name is given her!

I promise not to take so long to post again, and in fact I already have two more posts in mind, so be watching for more updates soon!

Merry Christmas!

Today, I have the pleasure of introducing you to my latest Love Bud doll (whom I lovingly refer to as "Lizzie" - "Angelica" just wasn't right, and I couldn't call her "Elizabeth," because it seemed a bit too serious!)
This happy-go-lucky sweetheart is sporting another original Madison dress creation with matching ballet flats and a fun multi-colored ponytail.  She measures 14 inches tall and has no choking hazard pieces.  She is also stuffed in such a way that she can stand when placed against a wall.  As you can tell from the position of her arms, she is joyful and very excited to meet her new family, hug her new best friend, and find out her new name.  She says she will be so happy with whatever name her new family chooses!

$30

Merry Christmas!

Three adorable Lovebuds waiting for appreciative families!

UPDATE: The first two stuffies in this post are no longer available, but the doll is still available for a discounted price of $5!

I decided to try a little experiment with some super cute stuffies I had.  Instead of taking all the time to make the doll itself, I just made the clothing and accessories.  I made them up by myself from scratch, and it was fun!  And much quicker - so I can sell them for less, too.

Have a Lovebud of your own that needs a wardrobe? I will happily custom-fit some clothes for them!

"Prissy" Poodle is modeling the latest fashions from PoodleMania for you, and appreciates your interest! All accessories are removable - the skirt is a little tough, I might have made it a little tight, but it will come off. The purse does not open - sorry about that! You can't see it from the picture, but the hat has a blue band going around it. Like the doll, I made all the accessories from scratch.

"Boochie" Bear is 11 inches from hat to toe, and ready for work. His hat is removable and very easy to take on and off.

This girlie is 13 inches from head to toe.  Her style is not removable.

$7 each!

Who would NOT like some help in the kitchen?!!

These dish scrubbies can be a lot of help in the kitchen! They are washable, come in a set of three, and depending on the dish, should not scratch your dishes. They come in bright colors-brighter than they seem in the picture! They would also make a nice hostess gift.

$7 for a set of three.
